Prettiest Birthday

Image
I am an avid Francophile, so when I saw the macaron cake stand in the Prettiest Birthday set (154458), I knew that I would be purchasing the bundle!  This stamp set absolutely has it all! The sentiments could be used for wedding showers, baby showers, weddings, birthdays!  I made the table cloth using whisper white/basic white cardstock (underneath the top layer), and blushing bride. The Quite Curvy dies (154319) were the perfect 'border' for a fancy tablecloth! I also used the Stitched So Sweetly Dies (151690) to make the 'picture' frame and added a cute bow from the Snail Mail Twine Combo pack (154579).  I kept taking pictures of this card and no matter the angle, lighting, etc. not a single picture did it's glory justice! Everything was colored in with watercolor pencils and blended with a blender pen! Hello Baby

Image
One of my dearest and best friends is in her last trimester of pregnancy and despite all the restrictions, we are holding a virtual baby shower to celebrate! Naturally, I needed to make her a custom card, but it was so cute I couldn't resist sharing beforehand!  This uses the Kangaroo&Company Bundle (154502) and the Woodland Wonder stamp set (155321). I also used the Tasteful Labels dies to make the sun (152886). I made the card using a whisper white/basic white card base and used the blender brushes (153611) to make the 'all over' grass and sky! If I had to recommend only ONE product from the January-June mini catalog, I'd recommend the blending brushes for sure; however, I'm glad no one is asking me to pick! :D  P.S. Please ignore the garden green ink smear...I was so disappointed that I didn't catch it on the corner of my acrylic block until it was too late! 😒 Additional details will be provided on this post soon!

Kangaroo & Company & Valentine's Day

Image
My favorite stamp sets are ones you can use for many different things!  One of those stamp sets is Kangaroo & Company! It includes so many cute sayings and comes with stamps to set the scene for a baby shower, thank you note, thinking of you, etc!  Truthfully, I'm also a sucker for baby animals and the joeys are too much to handle! <3 I am in the mood for creating for Valentine's Day so made a cute little Valentine's/Anniversary Card using this set. I re-purposed some of the 'Tis the Season DSP, but there are several other red/pink printed DSPs that you could replace with--including a super cute striped/dotted one from the Field of Flowers Sale-a-Bration item!  To make this card, I used a Whisper White Card Base. I placed a piece of patterned red paper on the back, leaving about 1/8" around. I used my Stampin' Cut & Emboss to to cut out two of the Stitched So Sweetly rectangles and I used the Playful Alphabet to cut out "LOVE." When I cut t

Darling Donkeys

Image
This stamp set surprised me so much! I thought it was cute, but I have not stopped thinking of ideas for these Darling Donkeys (a free level 1 Sale-a-bration item!).  I made this yesterday using the salt technique, Field of Flowers DSP, a scalloped circle punch, Stampin' Blends pens, and the Tailored Tag Punch. The phrases are white embossed whisper white craft ink. It was a delight to make, very simple, and super cute! If you spend $50.00 you can choose the Darling Donkeys stamp set OR the Field of Flowers DSP. If you spend $100.00 you can get both! Additionally, with all purchases over $35.00, you will receive a mini kit including all the supplies for the Pampered Pets calendar from my post on 1/15 (adhesives, stamped images, and ink not included)! Just use the host code at check out or contact me!

Woodland Wonder

Image
One of my favorite stamp sets in the January-June Mini Catalog is Woodland Wonder (155321). It has super cute/useful sentiments and is a 'build your own' scene with lots of little woodland creatures (that little raccoon <3).  Using my Stamparatus, a very useful tool for stamp sets like this, I made the creation below:  I used Stampin' Blends pens, Memento Tuxedo Black Ink for stamping, the new blending brushes in the mini catalog (153611), and a small piece of the Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the Berry Blessings Bundle (free with $100.00 purchase with Sale-a-Bration). If you are interested or have any questions about Stampin' Up!, feel free to reach out! I am always happy to chat stamping! :)

Desktop Happiness

In setting up a home office for my full-time job, I noticed that all my typical 'work' knick knacks on my desk where still all in my office--including my desk calendar.  I was inspired by Pink Buckaroo's recent Facebook Friday, and went rogue planning my own version!  I used the Pampered Pets stamp set from the Annual Catalog. While the animals feel a bit monochromatic, this was intentional! As it turns out, my everyday stampin' buds are monochromatic and my pets served as models! Certainly you can change them to whatever color you would like!  To make this design exactly as-is, you will need:  Ink Colors: Memento Tuxedo Black, Real Red, Crushed Curry Stampin' Blends: Dark Granite Gray, Color Lifter, Real Red, Misty Moonlight Blender Pen Stampin' Seal + A pre-made tear off calendar (I purchased mine from Taylored Expressions at the suggestion of Pink Buckaroo's video!) Water Color Pencils: Flirty Flamingo, Basic Black x1 Sheet of Misty Moonlight, cut to 11&q

Salt Technique Tutorial

Image
I recently learned the process of making a card background using the salt technique! I have tried it several times now and LOVE it!  It is fast, simple, and an economical way to create custom and beautiful water colour pieces. I am planning on demo-ing this technique this Friday, 1/15 at 7PM via zoom! Visit my Stampin' Up! website for additional details!  You will need:  Water Painters Stampin' Up Classic Stampin' Pad or Stampin' Up Ink Refills Watercolour Paper Salt--any kind will do! I like the Kosher salt because I think it makes less of a mess, but standard iodized table salt is just fine too! You will get different effects based on the granule size of the salt that you use. It would be helpful if you had: A piece of cardboard (small and clean!) to tape your watercolour paper too Painter's tape The green 'splotchy' background paper of this card was created using this technique! It's perfect for skies, water, 'green' forest backgrounds, etc. I

Sweet Ice Cream (the stamp set)!  This was one of the first stamp sets I pre-purchased from the new Stampin' Up Spring Mini Catalog, BUT it's now available to everyone and I'm excited to watch the creativity flow! It has amazing and versatile sentiments, and is just so fun and cute. It can be bundled with the Ice Cream cone builder punch (bundle: 156244). It features watercolor-esque ice cream 'pieces' to build your own sundae, or ice cream bar!  Here are some samples with this sweet stamp set:  And BOMB POPS-a childhood favorite of mine! Sale-a-bration and NEW Mini Catalog

Image
Hooray! The new spring catalog is almost here AND the Sale-a-Bration is almost here too!  I was able to get a sneak peak as a demonstrator, and can I just tell you...adorable stamp sets coming your way--for free!  I'm a Christmas girl, so I always think 'it can't be as good as the holiday mini catalog'...but it is! I have pre-purchased so many items that my wallet hurts!  How Sale-a-bration works:  This year,1/5/2021-2/28/2021, for every 50$ or 100$ that you spend, you will earn free stamps/paper of your choosing from the brochure. For example, if you spend 100.00 you will be eligible to receive x2 products in the 'free with 50.00 purchase' category, or x1 product in the 'free with 100.00 purchase'.  There is no limit to the number of sets you can get with your purchase. Meaning if you spend 300.00, you can receive 3 items in the '$100.00' category or 6 in the '$50.00' category!  ADDITIONALLY, for every purchase over $35.00 (without shipp
