I Spy With My Little Eye...

Image
While I was doing my evening stamping, I looked around and noticed how perfectly messy my desk was--a sign of good crafting! In an instant, I thought we could play 'What's on my desk?'  None of this is staged; however, I did move a couple things around so they could be seen for the picture. I went ahead and labeled the picture with numbers and the numbered items are named below the image! 1. 2/3 Water Painters 2. Various Trims (freshly received!) 3. Moose Punch 4.[Used] Small Grid Paper 5. Stampin' Blends in Light Suede and Dark Suede 6. Stampin' Scissors 7.Merry Moose Photopolymer Stamp Set 8.Wishes and Wonder Cling Stamp Set 9. Beginner Budget Basics

Looking to place your first EVER order of stamps?  My biggest recommendation is a subscription to Paper Pumpkin.   Don't worry! You can get it one month at a time--there is no obligation to continue, but you might be tempted to do so once you see all the fun! Paper Pumpkin is a themed paper crafting box. It costs only $22.00, and comes with all the paper, ink, stamps, and a size D similar stamp block (with your first kit only!). This is a great way to explore the world of stamping and paper crafting, and decide if you want to make the bigger investment of stamping supplies. You get to make 8-12 cards or 'items' like treat boxes, candy crackers, etc. It is also awesome for people who are super busy and need 'fast crafting'--maximum crafting with minimal time. Contact me for any questions or to subscribe. Ways to Color with Stampin' Up

Image
There are so many different ways to add color with Stampin' Up. Arguably, stamping is wonderful alone, but adding in color and customizing the ways the images appear can be a truly rewarding part of crafting.  While Blender Pens deserve their own post, there are 5 main coloring tools discussed below:  Stampin' Blends Pens Blends pens come in sets of two and include a light and dark color. These basically transition color and adjust the color to seem more realistic and 'shaded'/'ombre'. You just color and then color over the top! there is also a Stampin' Blends Color Lifter which can help 'remove'/lighten the color to create a gradient within one color as well! There are many colors, therefore many item numbers. An example is Item # 154897 Water Painters (Item # 151298) Stampin' Blend Color Lifter (Item # 144608) Stampin' Up Classic Stampin' Pads +/- Water Painters Ink pads are probably one of the easiest and simplest ways to add color...s

New Stamp Set, Who dis?

Do you have a new cling stamp set and just aren't sure where to start?  Watch this video and get Stampin'!  In the video I help guide you through setting up a rubber cling stamp set.  Some extra tips: A bone folder/credit card isn't strictly necessary, but I found that I had less air bubbles between the foam and the stamp, personally. (Stampin' Up Bone Folder, 102300) DO NOT try to re-position your stamp on the sticker. If you try to reposition the sticker, you could rip the foam of the stamp or the sticker, itself. If I am horribly off (it happens--sorry little hedgehog of Stampin' Up's Walk in the Woods), I carefully trim the excess off with a pair of the Stampin' Up scissors (103579)! Just be careful not to cut your stamp! DO save your sticker sheet once you have removed all the stickers. This is a pro-tip that has been passed down! If the stamp ever becomes less sticky, you can cut small pieces and attach at various locations so that the stamp can cont

Sneak Peaks of Customer Appreciation Bonuses!

Image
After recently hosting my first party as a demonstrator I was excited to start designing little thank you gifts to tuck into orders from the workshop. (This is a sneak peak! I will report back with the full 'party favors'!) These will be the little toppers for the gift bags containing stamping related treats.  In an effort to help eliminate single use plastics, I promise to  deliver purchases in paper bags only. The bonus is these will have a lesser, lasting environmental impact...AND I stamp on them and make them super cute!   UPDATE: Now that all my customers have seen their cute little surprises, here are the fully finished thank you favors for the guests of the workshop!

Up and Coming

Image
While October is still underway, November is quickly approaching and several fun and exciting things are happening in my first quarter as a Stampin' Up demonstrator. Firstly, the curvy celebrations will be available for customers between November 3 and January 4. They are going to be so versatile in your stamping collection. I am still awaiting my pre-order stamps to arrive in the mail, but I cannot wait to give them a go and share my creations soon! Secondly, the next paper pumpkin box will be available to pre-order until 11/10. If you are new to stamping or have a crazy busy schedule, I think this is an amazing purchase for you! It comes with everything you need to make 8-12 of the 'project of the month'. To learn more, feel free to contact me, or visit the link in the left link bar! Finally, I will be hosting a free zoom meeting to demonstrate how to 'marble' the front of a card. If you are interested visit my Stampin' Up page: https://stampthetestoftime.stam
