Disney Bound (and so is my creativity!)

Image
I love Disney. In fact, DisneyPlus is one of my go-to watches while I'm stamping/crafting! When Patty Stamps posted her Mickey Ice Cream snack card, I jumped on the opportunity to CASE it, and CASE it I did! (CASE=Copy And Share Everything) These cards were made using only Stampin' Up! products, including the Brights Designer Series Paper, Real Red Cardstock, and the Ice Cream Suite Bundle. I used the Pampered Pets stamp set for the inside sentiment of 'Hope You're Day is a Real Treat!' The die cut 'Happy Birthday' came from the "Hey Birthday Chick" die set.The hearts that were flipped sideways for Minnie's bow were from the Kangaroo and Company die set (any small heart should do though!). The basic white cardstock labels with the Happy Birthday were from the Tasteful Label die set. I used Mango Melody Stampin' Blends to color white resin dots (All the Trimmings Embellishments) for Mickey's pant's buttons. The red resin dots are al

This Post Brought to You by the Letter 'S'

Image
One of Stampin' Up!'s artisan design team used the Natural Touch Specialty Paper and covered a wooden letter. I was so excited by this especially as I have had a wooden letter since middle school that my mom bought me to craft, but I never got around to fancy-ing it up!  The overall process was quite simple!  You will need:  Matte Modge Podge Foam Paint Brush Natural Touch Specialty Paper (or another fun paper!) A wooden letter (a cardboard one might also work, but those tend to be a bit less sturdy) Butterfly Brilliance Dies Basic White Cardstock  Blushing Bridge Cardstock  Precision Cutting Blade (can be found at most/all craft stores!) Your first step will be to cover the front side of the letter with modge podge using the foam paint brush. Next you will lay the Natural Touch Specialty Paper on top and smooth it out. I started using my bone folder, then moved to using  my fingers once it was just small 'bubbles' left. Once I got it adhered well, I flipped the letter

Flowering Cactus Medley Projects

Image
I made a post a couple weeks ago about the Flowering Cactus Medley (154559) and I finally got an opportunity to try the kit and all the fun goodies inside!  Stamping and die cutting with this kit was so much fun! Below are three similar sample cards I made with this kit.  Two fun things that I did were using Sahara Sand ink and a blender brush (153611) to make the desert 'floor'. I took a scrap piece of white cardstock and tore the edges. I colored it with Sahara Sand ink pad using the blending brush, then added the 'shadow' stamps included in the Flowering Cactus stamp set. For two of the cards, I did this twice and layered the pieces so that it added additional dimension to the card!  I also cut up a few of the 'budding' cacti that I die cut and stamped. This gave me pieces that I could layer and make little 'bouquets' of cacti to fill empty space without taking away the effect of the focus of the smiling cactus!  Speaking of the smiling cactus, the
