Valentine's Bits and Bobs Projects

We had an amazing 'Valentine's Day' party!

As promised, I have shared all my projects below so that you can make them for all your valentines!

"You Melt My Heart" Traditional Valentine with Candy Pocket

  • Sweet Ice Cream Stamp Set
  • Sweet Ice Cream Builder Punch
  • Circular Red Embellishments
  • Blending Brushes (153611)
  • Inks: Bermuda Bay, Flirty Flamingo, Early Espresso
  • Basic White Cardstock, 2 3/8" x 4.5"
  • Pool Party Cardstock, 2 3/8" x 4.5"
  • Soft Suede Cardstock
  • Box on Back-Real Red Cardstock, 5.25" x 2"
    • Score at 1.75", 2", 3.75", 4"
Stamp two flirty flamingo and one Bermuda Bay Ice Cream Scoops. Then cut out using the builder punch. Cut a 'cone' out of soft suede, then stamp the 'waffle cone' lines.  Use flirty flamingo ink pad to blend the ink into the basic white cardstock. Stamp 'You Melt My Heart' in the top left corner, then use the 'confetti'/'circle sprinkle' stamp to stamp (and stamp off) Bermuda Bay onto the background randomly.  Build your ice cream and add your embellishment/sprinkle stamp to the top scoop!

To build the pocket, follow measurements above, then on the middle fold, use a circle punch and cut just the edge to make a little indent to get the treat out easier. Fold and burnish the score lines and fold together with adhesive to stick it together. cut out the tiny squares at the bottom of the 'side strips'. Place adhesive on all the flaps along the bottom. Tip: cut the very corner off of the flaps on the bottom, so that things go together more smoothly. Watch the video below to see how I made it!

"You Croc My World" Crocodile Valentine Wrap

  • Oh Snap! Stamp Set
  • Inks: Pumpkin Pie, Real Red, Tuxedo Black
  • Blends: Granny Apple Green Light and Dark
  • Basic White Cardstock, 3.25" x 2.75"
  • Pool Party Cardstock, 7" x 3.25"
    • Score on short side at 3.25", 6.5"
Fold along score lines. Cut the 0.5" edges off, then attach to form a 'tube'. Stamp and color. Will hold 2 Swedish Fish valentine packs.

Long Dog Nerd Rope Wrapper
  • Hot Dog Stamp Set
  • Inks: Flirty Flamingo, Real Red
  • Blending Brushes (153611)
  • Blends: Light and Dark Soft Suede, Dark Real red
  • Basic White Cardstock, 4.5" x 1.25" (front To/From) card, 4.5" x 2.5" (wrap), 1.25" x 2.5" (banner)
    • Score the 'wrap' sized piece of white card stock on the short side at 2" and 4"
To make the dog, stamp the "Hot Dog" dog, cut in half and lightly 'stick' the two pieces to another sheet of cardstock. Using a ruler, draw a line between the two sides on the front and bottom. Attach the ends of the dog slightly underneath the body, or using a scrap piece of whisper white, use it as a 'bridge' on the back between the two pieces.

XOXO Lip Gloss Box
  • Banner Year Stamp Set--I think this set is Retired. If you don't have it, you can use any valentine-ish stamp set. One in particular that has similar stamps is Kangaroo & Company (154502)
  • Inks: Flirty Flamingo, Real Red
  • Wink of Stella
  • Real Red Cardstock, 4.25" x 7"
    • Score on long side at 1", 3.25"
    • Score on short side at 1", 3.25", 4.25", 6.5" (the 0.5" of cardstock on the end of the box will be on the top flap of the box!)
  • Whisper White Cardstock, 2"x2" piece (inside lid), 2 1/8" x 2 1/8" (outside lid)
  • Additional Basic white and Real red scraps to make banners on the front--I just used scraps, but a 'ball park' is to measure about 2" x 0.5"
Pro-tip: cut the edges off at an angle to make the box come together more smoothly. For the lid, also cut the 'flaps' on the 'front' and 'side' down to 0.25" to make the box easier to open!

I made a video of the candy pocket above, but if you would like any of these as videos, feel free to drop a comment below! :)
